About Me

Shuwen is a bicoastal director, playwright, and visual artist who recently received a Bachelor's Degree from the UCLA Department of Theatre. She was honored to be part of the Young Adult Storytelling Workshop at the Geffen Playhouse and invited to direct and produce multiple site-specific productions at the Aranya Theatre Festival.

 

She challenges and experiments across media and languages to claim the narrative in tales of displacement, alienation, and empowerment, believing in the power of the arts to connect, enact, and inspire.
