The line between the desire for love and the desire for intimacy blurs further in an era when live streaming is viral. How a 20-year-old live-stream content maker gets devoured by the blend of both while fathoming her relationship with youth and time, and dreaming of living like a goddess?
A multiple-media one-woman show with puppet, a re-take on the ancient Chinese tale of Chang'e, the moon goddess who ascends to the moon and is kept separate from her lover forever in youth after mistakenly taking her husband's elixir.
Audience reviews
"Striking, moving, unique. A show that provokes and challenges what we think we know. A historical narrative through the fresh lens of modern storytelling and experimental theatre."
"This piece was very interesting, and surprisingly packed with auditory and visual media to engage all of the senses. It was both intimate and voyeuristic all at once, with themes I’m sure a lot of people can connect with."
